According to TheMusic.com.au, "AC/DC - Maximum Rock and Roll", the best-seller by Murray Engleheart with Arnaud Durieux, is now in its second print run after being released in Australia and New Zealand in November 2006.
The book was released in Germany in late March and quickly sold out and has since been reprinted. It has been one of the country's biggest selling books of the year and reached Number 43 on the charts with large features in the major press. Reviews regarded the book as the "AC/DC Bible."
In Finland, where the book also released in March, it has also been selling very strongly and was the Number 5 Best Selling Non-Fiction book for the entire month of March. Spanish, Swedish, Hungarian and Polish editions of "AC/DC Maximum Rock and Roll" will be released soon as will a Czech Republic edition.
In the U.S., where the book was released in January, Publishers Weekly handed out a highly prized "Starred Review" and declared "So faithful to the spirit of the band it could leave readers' ears ringing."
One American radio station conducted an AC/DC week in honor of the book while Guitar World magazine ran an extract over six pages as a cover story.
Alice Cooper's radio show, "Nights With Alice Cooper", which is syndicated across the U.S., Canada and now Australia, has expressed strong interest in interviewing Engleheart in relation to the book.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Mojo handed out three stars and said "This is the nuts and bolts chronicle for blokes."
