CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS Promotes Key Sales Staff

Century Media Records has promoted current Vice President of Sales & Distribution, Brian Sharp, to the newly created Vice President of Internal Operations position, while current Manager of Sales & Distribution, Andrew "Hoz" Hosner, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales & Product Development.

Enjoying a 55% sales increase in 2004, Century Media Records has found it necessary to restructure internally, meeting the demands this success has created. Brian Sharp, a fourteen-year industry veteran, who has been heading the Sales Dept. since 1998 after five years with Metal Blade Records, will focus more now on the label's vision and operations. The new position is designed to improve communication and productivity among all staff, executives and distributed labels so that all the efforts of Century Media's growing staff are utilized to their fullest potential. Brian will also oversee all internal budgets and help with distribution-related issues in North America as the company continues to grow at a rapid pace and will also implement future projects to keep things focused as new developments present themselves.

Hoz, who joined the Century Media team in 2001 after heading up the sales department at Relapse Records since 1993, has been promoted after spearheading extremely successful retail campaigns for LACUNA COIL and SHADOWS FALL. His skills will now be utilized to their fullest, as he will not only oversee the Sales Department, but will also focus on the keeping the flow of information going between the various branches of Century Media's growing promotion departments. In order to further develop Century Media's new artists in the marketplace, increased communication between the label's promotion force will be a must and Hoz will help to coordinate their attack.
