DOHENY Perform Unannounced Gig At L.A. Fashion Show

DOHENY, the California-based band formed by ex-THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar) and former PITCHSHIFTER frontman Jon "J.S." Clayden, performed an unannounced gig at the Rock & Republic fashion show in Los Angeles Friday night (Oct. 29). The event, sponsored by Cadillac, saw stars such as Victoria Beckham, Eve and Paris Hilton in the front row while THE CRYSTAL METHOD DJed. "DOHENY tore it up in their own inimitable style in the after-show, bringing the event to a much more raucous close with the aid of Josh Todd (previously of BUCKCHERRY) on vox for an impromptu 'PISTOLS cover!" reads a posting on DOHENY's web site.

Commented J.S.: "I know I speak for the whole band when I say that it's tough playing these high fashion gigs. The gorgeous models, the endless flowing champagne and free clothes can be distracting, but we try to selflessly soldier on for the greater good of rock music."

In other news, Clayden has hooked up with some old friends (with a new face) at new clothing company Obsolete Clothing. With a base in surf, skate and music, Obsolete hails from the U. K. and features some cool new designs. Check out the web site at this location.
