Drummer BOBBY JARZOMBEK Teams Up With PLATINUM SAMPLES

Platinum Samples has posted a promotional video (see below) of drummer Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, RIOT, FATES WARNING, SEBASTIAN BACH) playing "Platinum Samples Joe Barresi Evil Drums for BFD" on a Yamaha DTXtreme III Special electronic drumkit. "Bobby Jarzombek Metal Grooves MIDI Pack", co-produced with Rail Jon Rogut at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, California, is scheduled for release in early 2010.

Jarzombek's first foray into MIDI samples came in 2007 via "Joe Barresi's Evil Drums", a six-DVD set released by Platinum Samples, the second BFD Expansion Pack in the company's "Master Engineer" series of drum samples featuring the work of multi-platinum award-winning producers and recording engineers, including Jim Scott (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, TOM PETTY) and Andy Johns (LED ZEPPELIN, VAN HALEN).

Joe Barresi is best known for his production, engineering, and mixing work with acts such as TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, KYUSS, and THE MELVINS.
