JEFF KOLLMAN Collaborates With Ex-GRIM REAPER Singer On SUPERBOWL Commercial

Acclaimed L.A.-based guitarist/songwriter/producer Jeff Kollman (GLENN HUGHES, COSMOSQUAD, MOGG/WAY) and writing/production partner Jono Brown have landed a Superbowl commercial for Garmin GSP navigation systems. The 30-second spot, which is set to air just before Superbowl half-time this Sunday, was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles and London, England and also features legendary U.K. metal vocalist Steve Grimmett (GRIM REAPER, ONSLAUGHT, LIONSHEART). In other news, Kollman has just relased his latest solo album, "Guitar Screams Live!", a collection of nine original compositions from his solo, JKB and COSMOSQUAD catalog as well as renditions of "Clap Hands" ($IGN OF $4, TOM WAITS), "Jerusalem" (MOGG/WAY), and "Fool For Your Stockings" (ZZ TOP). Special guests include drummer Shane Gaalaas (B'Z, COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES), bassists Kevin Chown (ARTENSION, TONY MACALPINE, MAGNITUDE 9), Christopher Maloney ($IGN OF 4, COSMOSQUAD), and Paul Shihadeh (SCOTT HENDERSON, COSMOSQUAD), plus keyboardists Ed Roth (IMPELLITERI, GLENN HUGHES, FATES WARNING) and Lao Tizer. Kollman and Gaalaas are currently working on a brand new COSMOSQUAD studio album. with mixing set to commence in mid-February. Paul Shihadeh will be taking over on bass for original member Barry Sparks (DOKKEN, TED NUGENT) who had to bow out of the recording due to prior touring commitments. A spring release is expected.

On the live front, Jeff Kollman will once again hit the road with "The Voice of Rock," Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, TRAPEZE), for the 2007 European leg of the "Music for the Divine" tour.
