Reunited RYKER'S Plays First Comeback Show In Athens; Video Available

After a decade of silence, RYKER'S, Germany's leading old-school hardcore outfit and pioneers of the European scene in the '90s, will reunite to perform a special comeback show at the 20th anniversary of the With Full Force festival, set to take place June 27-30 in Roitzschjora, Germany.

Comments RYKER'S bassist Chris: "Exactly 20 years after the first RYKER'S show in 1993, we are happy to return to celebrate the 20th anniversary of With Full Force! We actually played at the festival's second edition… time flies! This will be the only festival show in 2013 for us… C-ya in the pit!"

The 2013 lineup of RYKER'S includes original members Chris (bass), Grobi (guitar) and Kid-D. (vocals) alongside newly added second guitarist Fusel and drummer Flo.

In order to warm up properly for the With Full Force show, RYKER'S has scheduled two special club shows, with the first one having taken place this past Saturday, May 11 at 7 Sins Club in Athens, Greece (see video below) and the second one set to happen on June 1 at Ritz Clube in Lisbon, Portugal.

Kassel-based RYKER'S, which was originally inspired by bands like CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS, AGNOSTIC FRONT and SoCal hardcore punk acts such as the CIRCLE JERKS and BAD RELIGION, was a regular performer at With Full Force in the festival's early years and even played ts farewell show there in 2003.

The band's latest two official releases, 1999's "Life's A Gamble...And So Is Death" and the "From The Cradle To The Grave" live/covers collection from 2000, were released on Century Media Records after the band was previously signed to indie Lost & Found and major label WEA.
