SUHRIM Announces New Bassist

Belgian death metallers SUHRIM have issued the following update:

"At this time we would like to officially welcome Niklaas Reinhold [photo] to the SUHRIM ranks. He'll be taking over bass duties on a permanent basis from frontman Johan Antonissen with immediate effect. Antonissen — who suffered a serious back injury a few years ago — will now solely concentrate on vocal duties in the live environment, but continue to write and contribute material on bass."

As previously reported, SUHRIM recently returned home from recording its third album, "Happy Hour", at Hertz Studios in Bialystok, Poland (VADER, HATE, DECAPITATED) with the acclaimed producer duo Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy. Guitarist Tom Bleys was responsible for laying down the bass on the new CD.

"Happy Hour" is tentatively scheduled for release this spring/summer through the resurrected Shiver Records. The cover art and layout was created by Swedish artist Carlos Holmberg (SOILWORK, SCARVE, TERROR 2000).

SUHRIM plans to tour domestically as well as internationally in support of the new alnum. Promoters and booking agents are encouraged to contact the band ([email protected]) or its label ([email protected]) for gigs in their area/country.
