TNT Frontman Discusses His New Band STARBREAKER

In an interview with "The Hairball John Radio Show", Tony Harnell of TNT shared some great stories regarding early TNT, the various tours and some of his favorite tracks from over the years. He also talked about his new side project STARBREAKER:

Hairball John Radio Show: Tony, I know that 2005 is also going to be a big year for you. Can you tell me how you became part of STARBREAKER?

Tony Harnell: "It started off as a project, I guess you could say, and I have been wanting to go in a heavier direction. That's one of the directions I am going to go in, is getting heavier, TNT as well on this next album is looking to go a bit harder and heavier. So this project came across me and I really liked the music and thought that I could do something with it so I decided to go forward and it's is called STARBREAKER. It features my old buddy John Macaluso on drums who played on 'Realized Fantasies' with TNT — great, great drummer. And a Swedish guitarist named Magnus Karlsson and an Italian bass player named Fabrizio Grossi."

Hairball John Radio Show: You kind of have a United Nations band here don't you?

Tony Harnell: "Exactly, and we are real excited about it. It's going to be a kind of interesting, sort of cross-over album which is going to have it’s roots very strongly in traditional melodic metal. It's going to have kind of a modern mixture to it. It's not going to sound like LIMP BIZKIT or any sort of modern metal band, but it does have elements of EVANESCENCE and things like that in it."
